Don 3: Shah Rukh Khan to be JOINED by Ranveer Singh For Farhan Akhtar Direction — Priyanka Chopra ALSO BACK?
Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra were last seen together in a film in 2011. Their last film together was Don 2, directed by Farhan Akhtar — a sequel to Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006).
Even more interesting is the fact, based on whispers floating in, where Don 3 and Ranveer Singh’s name appears to be doing the rounds, that Shah Rukh Khan too might just be back in the series.
Bhavana Somaaya tweeted that there are also strong whispers that Shah Rukh — who was seen playing the protagonist in Don 2 — will make a special appearance in Don 3. So while Ranveer will play the hero in the film, King Khan is said to have a special role that will take the plot in another direction.
Though the storyline of the film has been kept under wraps, Shah Rukh’s cameo is speculated to be rather crucial to the film.
And Will Priyanka Chopra Join Don 3 Too?
And that’s not all — the Don 2 lead Priyanka Chopra may also make a comeback.
One source quoted by India Today said:
“The producers are attempting to add drama to the story by finding an in for Shah Rukh Khan. Not much has been revealed about the character yet, but it’s being said that Farhan Akhtar has already had a word with Shah Rukh about the character arc and how fitting can it be on the megastar. SRK is doing Don 3, he has been doing hard work and we all work hard — someday we will make the film.”
Shah Rukh has agreed on Don 3 as he has faith in the franchise, which is why we are keen to make the film.”
So, SRK is working with King as of now but has said yes to Don 3, so he is definitely in.”
Meanwhile, the makers are planning something grand — a spin — if a report of Bollywood Hungama is anything to go by. A source said:
“The odds are very high that Priyanka Chopra will return to the Don world.”
When Will Don 3 Release?
The film will be shot by January 2026, and it might hit the screens in December 2026.
By the way, SRK and Priyanka may share screen space for the first time in a dozen years. Their final film together was Don 2 in 2011 – a film which today is iconic for action-thriller movies.
Who Will Be Don 3’s Female Lead?
Although even Kiara Advani is heard to have backed out, gossipmongers have been suggesting that a fresh jodi of Kriti Sanon could be the new leading lady opposite Ranveer Singh.
The Crew star had also wished Ranveer in a heartfelt post on his 40th birthday on July 6, and in her post, had hinted that they will be collaborating soon. In her message, she wrote:
“P.S. Excited to work with you soon!”
And this small piece of news has set the town abuzz — the word is that Kriti is going to be signed on as the new female lead in Don 3.

And then throw in the fact that Shah Rukh Khan is said to have a cameo, and Priyanka Chopra might be returning, the fresh new pairing of Ranveer Singh (and possibly Kriti Sanon) — Don 3, my dears, looks to be one of the hottest films of the to-come years!
Also, Farhan Akhtar, while handling the first two Don films, seems to do is to absolutely blast it with Don 3, not to just build on the glory of the franchise’s past workings – but to write something completely new and fresh fit for the new age.
It’s now difficult for Don fans to even contain their excitement till they get to see the final product of this multi-starrer edge-of-the-seat thriller!
