Television actress Dipika Kakar, known for her iconic role as Simar in Sasural Simar Ka, recently revealed that she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The actress underwent a major 14-hour surgery to remove the tumor and is currently undergoing targeted therapy.
Dipika shared her journey publicly on Star Plus’ dance reality show Nach Baliye 8, where she spoke candidly about the challenges she faced and the precautions she now takes.

Dipika revealed:
“I hope I’m not going to face any side-effects, but I may face some after a few days.”

“Samaj nahi paa rahe th kuch bhi uss waqt bhi tha… But the first diagnosis was that it was the lymph nodes in the left breast area. Tab aisa laga jaise ki shaayad ye reason ho sakta hai.”

“Suddenly Ruhaan ko wean off kiya. Though I had taken tablets to suppress milk, it was mild. I felt there might be a little pain… It’s like don’t take any risks man, let’s get it done there and then.”
