- Her father tried contacting her at the hotel since mobile phones were not in use at that time.
- Locals watching the shoot were confused, wondering if the person they saw was really Shilpa because they had already heard the news.
A Disturbing Moment
When Shilpa returned to her room, she found 20-25 missed calls from her worried parents. The panic was triggered by a headline in a newspaper claiming that Shilpa Shirodkar was shot dead.
A Promotional Stunt Gone Too Far
Shilpa explained:
“When the film’s producer told me, I was like, ‘Okay’. Yes, thoda zyada hogaya. There was no PR activity or anything at that time. Kuch pata hi nahi tha na.”
She revealed she was the last to know about this stunt since no one sought permission back then. However, she wasn’t angry because the film did well.
