TV Actress Ashi Singh Opens Up About Disturbing Industry Experiences

Ashi Singh REVEALS: “He Wanted to Invest in Me…”

“When I used to go for auditions, I remember it happened 2–3 times. People would offer me roles and ask for something in return. There was someone who wanted me to stay at home and wait for his project. He said he wanted to ‘invest’ in me — but I could tell he wasn’t going about it the right way.”

Called Alone to a Producer’s Room

She further recalled:

“There was someone else who called me — out of five girls — and then asked me to meet the producer alone in a room. I went there with my mother. Nothing actually happened to me, but yes, there are creeps out there. And who knows if it works. They are creep.”

“TV Actors Are Typecast in Bollywood”

Ashi also opened up about being stereotyped in the entertainment industry:

“I feel like something that has happened to me, it hasn’t really been for me — actually, it’s the opposite. As a TV person, I’ve often been typecast.”

She added:

“If any actor who is not so experienced was offered such a big role, they would have definitely taken advantage of it. But all the experience I had helped me land the part.”
